Arizona is beautiful. The scenery is unmatched. On a previous farm dinner tour we met up with Farmer Frank at his vegetable farm very close to Phoenix. Frank’s story touched everyone. We heard his wonderful recounting of how his dream as a small boy was to one day have his own farm. Farmer Frank's place is probably not the most scenic farm in Arizona, but his story has a beauty that is very rare. That night we were joined by Paul and Sarah of Double Check Ranch who brought beef from the ranch and their own story. Two years later we head out for a visit to their place. In the kitchen is Melissa Kelly of Primo Restaurant in Tucson. Melissa last joined us for a farm dinner in upstate New York that included chef interns from her alma mater the nearby Culinary Institute of America. It’s great to rejoin Melissa in Arizona.
