Tucked away in the Cathedral stretch of the Grand Tetons, it can be pretty hard to get here with our trailers full of tables and chairs – but it’s always worth the effort. Mead Ranch is one of the most breathtaking stops on the tour. This year, our Jackson guest chef dream team – Joel Cox and Nick and Nora Phillips of Sweet Cheeks Meats – returns to the field kitchen. Sweet Cheeks is a sustainably and ethically minded whole-animal butchery, and they know just what to do with the glorious grass-fed beef from Mead Ranch. Before we sit down, host farmers Kate and Brad will hook up the horse wagon for a scenic tour on a corner of their 1,500 acres of historic grasslands, where the Mead family have been sustainably raising cattle for over a century. After dinner you might catch the tour crew letting loose at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar in town. In the morning, you’ll find us at Sweet Cheeks for a breakfast burrito.
