This is our tenth dinner at Allandale Farm, so it’s safe to say we like it here. Allandale is the oldest working farm in Boston, and Farmer Helen is keeping its rich agricultural history alive and well with a myriad of organic vegetables and summer fruits right inside the city limits. The history here is palpable, in the 1700s farmhouse as much as in the tall trees that shade the grasses where we’ll set the table. Chef Tony Maws is equally legendary. He’s collected quite a few awards throughout his career, and still likes to make time for an afternoon in the field kitchen. Once again, he’ll turn the best of Allandale Farm’s late-summer offerings into the kind of French-inspired, refined rustic cuisine that made him famous. Hop on the T and grab a seat.
