Our first event at this family-farmed ranch in Idaho’s Wood River Valley. This is premium grain-growing country, and host farmer Brett Stevenson is passionate about celebrating its history and terroir through heirloom wheat varieties chosen for their nutritional quality and environmental sustainability, in addition to flavor, of course. Brett grew up on this farm, and when she and her brother took over from their parents, she became a miller, too. Hillside Grain’s custom-made stone mill is a close replica of the historic French burr, which makes for some very delectable flour.
