We’re thrilled to return to this desert paradise for the second time this year – we came here on our Winter Tour, too. This farm has it all: golden fields of heritage grains, an historic Iraqi date garden, citrus groves, peaches, and a plethora of unusual vegetable varieties including heirloom corn and beans. Plus a very passionate farmer. Farmer Janna’s crops are specifically suited to Arizona’s arid climate, offering tastes and textures that you certainly can’t find in the grocery store. Guest chef Stephen Jones regularly sources from Pinnacle Farms for his restaurant, where his New Southern cooking has just earned him a nomination for Best Chef: Southwest from the James Beard Foundation. We’re eagerly awaiting his Delta-inspired meal, crafted from the bounty of the Southwest.
