Our Tuna Harbor table puts the women and men of the sea at the forefront – celebrating the work they do in the physical place where they do it. That’s about as fresh as fish can get. Plus, the wharf where we’ll set the table has a beautifully expansive view of the San Diego Harbor. This year, we bring in a fleet of local fisherpeople to tell us their tales of the ocean and share their early morning catch. In addition to tuna, their F/Vs (fishing vessels) catch squid, lobster, swordfish, rockfish, sardines, mackerel, opah and urchin. That’s a lot of options for guest chef Kyle Pierce, who’s well versed in what to do with all the delights of the deep. Ironside Fish & Oyster is one of the most celebrated seafood restaurants in San Diego, known for its playful menu and dedication to the daily catch.
