- Ty & Tracy Woodard Woodard Farms
This event draws on the original intention of OITF while reflecting our new initiative: origin storytelling that goes beyond food and into all the beautiful things brought to the table. At our table set in the fertile cotton fields of Darlington County, we have the opportunity to celebrate farmers as more than just the producers of our food and drink – but also our fibers and fabrics. The Woodward family has grown cotton here since 1962 in addition to food crops and cattle. Through Covered in Cotton, they pay homage to the rich history of textiles in the Carolinas with hand-crafted throws and towels spun from their family-farmed cotton. Their beautiful cloud-soft blankets and philanthropic mission (one out of every ten blankets is donated to a nearby children’s hospital) helped them take first place in Garden & Gun’s “Made in The South” Awards this year.
