Boggy Creek is an urban farm in the bustling east end of Austin. We first came here in 2005, OITF’s first visit to Texas, and have made a habit of coming back. Farmers Carol Ann Sayle and Larry Butler always welcomed us with open arms; they’re family. Sadly, Larry passed in 2018, and now Carol Ann’s daughter Tracey is filling her step-Dad’s big footprints. Boggy Creek is a “no-till” farm, which means they pay meticulous attention to the health of their soil. The result is a happy, healthy ecosystem and some of the most delicious, nutritious vegetables we’ve ever tasted. We’re excited to have Chef Jesse Griffiths back in the field kitchen this year. Justly famous for its commitment to hyper-local ingredients and colorful, distinctive flavors, Dai Due has consistently stayed in the press throughout the years, landing a spot on Bon Appetit’s Hot 10 List in 2015.
