A river runs through it and we intend to bridge it, with understanding. Understanding that comes from taking time to look around and get a good taste of the neighborhood. In the past, the L.A. River was mostly ignored and often vilified. In 2007, L.A. unveiled a plan to revitalize the river and restore the watershed as a place for Angelenos to gather and connect. We’ll see the results and learn how the plan has progressed. Our host farmer Alex Weiser is a steward of sustainability and biodiversity at his farm in Tehachapi, and will bring some stellar Spring produce for our cadre of LA-area chefs. Chef Neal Fraser is our head wrangler; Neal is great and has performed in the OITF kitchen many times over the years, including our pop-up at Coachella. Austin Cobb comes down from Manhattan Beach, where he helped cook the dinner on the sand last year. Zach Pollack brings his soulful Italian cooking from his popular spot in Silver Lake.
Join us as we celebrate the revival of the river and give it some love with a one-of-a-kind table placed just so.
